Home again!

My red blood cells were well down from what they should of been and were concerned, but after a phonecall to my specialist, and the fact that it was my last session, the all clear was given to proceed with the chemo and the drip was started, but a very close eye has to be watched over the next few days :D
Apparantly the value should of been between 150-400.... mine were on 64..... oops, thats a little low.
They said I may be short of breath occasionally and if it happens, I should get to the hospital asap to rectify it and caused by the chemo and my cold at the moment, which is giving the lungs a fair bit of punishment for the moment. One of the nurses who has been looking after me, her husband does a bit of kayak fishing as well (but isnt really interested in joining a forum), I mentioned I went out in the kayak last week for the first time. She said if I go out in the next couple of weeks, she is going to take my kayak off me... as I should be RESTING.... sorry boss!! I will not do it again...

I was also told if my snotty nose goo starts turning green... GET TO THE HOSPITAL!
If my temp goes over 38 degrees (which its been close to in the past week or 2 because of the cold... GET TO THE HOSPITAL!
And the short of breath issue... GET TO THE HOSPITAL!

hmmm, better try and take it easy then and stay close to home till this is over... oh well, S#!^ happens!

Im back at the specialist next wednesday, then probably 354353 tests for a before and after chemo comparison, followed up by a blood test every 3 months and I should be right!

Glad its nearly over though, hopefully I can get back to leading more of a normal life again soon!
Pity I missed the nice warm months to be fishing out in the water, but it will not stop me getting out on the water in the colder months, I have a lot of fishing to make up for!!

So... whos up for a kayak fish tonight! ok, I better not!
