Tricked you :( I decided to get back into flying. So I can fly to go fishing LoL. Anyway, just thought I would share. Although it is a great way to look for fishing locations to research at a later date in the yak. Saturday morning, returning from French Island.

Go Mav.
What a buzz that would be.
How long since you last felt the wind beneath your wings?
The drone doesn't count! :yahoo:

2009 was my last flight. Just like riding a bike, although I need to brush up on the theory side a bit.

Thank you. It was pretty cool, after 13 years without flying it all came back pretty easily, even in a plane I had never flown in before. Flapless, crosswind landings were interesting to say the least, but I didn't bend the plane :)

Alway happy to take VYAK members up for a fly once I get my certificate. Costs me $180/hour in the 2 seater, so $90/hour for anyone that is interested.

That's pretty cool after all that time away.
Obviously you have come into a heap of money lately eh? :yahoo:
I have a mate that flew outback milk runs for years just to keep his hours up and pay his lessons upgrade bills.
He said he was too scared to total it all up!
Hey, you can't take it with you, and a passion is a passion for a reason.
Keep your nose pointed toward the horizon old fella.

Nah, not a heap of money, just a few things aligned and my interest in flying kicked in again.

👍 Top Gun Pete. :?: .I used to enjoy flying solo student out of Moorabbin and looking down between the clouds over the potato farms in the training area.
That was almost 40 years ago but the cost was too much for me to keep up the hours needed to maintain a licence.
I might take you up on the offer & share the hourly rate one day.

I appreciate the feeling of flying. I used to do it in gliders decades ago. No motor equals no engine failure? And no noise.
