Don't let your metal welding expertise go.
Vyakers still need you to stick back together our Hobie trolleys !
don't worry Jacko I get plenty of welding practice at work - stitch and glue boat building is more like a boilermakers trade - you cut big flat pieces bend and tack them into shape and weld them

just the plates are lighter - bend easier but the weld time takes longer to set

do people still use hobies ? every one I fish with seam to have glass skis these days

The difference between a turner and sheet metal worker is the tolerance, the difference between a sheet metal worker and boiler make is material thicknesses under 3mm then over, the difference between a metal fabricater (all 3) and a chippy it the material lol i was once told so don't quote me, that after your 3rd boat you become a shipwrite one to go Cheater ;) some unnecessary information for you to digest and put in the pooper

I would love some woodwire or woodtrodes to make life simpler. :laughing1:. I'm half way through finishing the kayak (Laker 13 stitch and glue) and now filleting it .
