Re: Paddle v Pedal kayak.
Only ever had a paddle yak. For me it was all about the style of the majority of my fishing and that happens to be river systems with steepish banks and lots of snags. I wanted to make it user friendly so it wasn't a chore to load and unload, therefore using it as often as I can. As it stands I am stoked with my choice. Sure I love to look at Hobie AI's and most likely I will head down that path at some point but right now I love the simplicity of my little Frenzy.

and it isn't a trick question, there is no right or wrong answer, or right or wrong kayak (and 100% no prize )
Everybody has different needs.

Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

What about "I started with a peddle kayak and stayed with a peddle kayak because I'm a newbie and haven't kayaked long enough to consider swapping"

Started with a paddle yak, now own a pedal yak, but plan on getting an additional yak for paddling for different occasions and variation.

Started with PA14, lots of room, comfy, pleanty of storage, tho when fully set up gets quite heavy but still able to cover reasonable distance with it and able to fish and peddle in WP where there is reasonable tidel flow.
Would only consider upgrading to a stinker and follow in Rhino's footsteps.

This topic has got my attention Pete
I'm definitely torn between sticking with a paddle or changing over to peddle when i upgrade.

It means that if you wish to continue fishing out of your Kayak Andy, get the kitchen designer out to quote the jobsog wrote: Just waiting on the head of finance to give the ok

I did that before I headed to Merimbula last November. Two trips up north and several down to gippsland after the Kitchen reno.
Been stalling on the tiling and the painting BUT there will be another trip this November and of course, Snapper season

I started with a paddle, upgraded to a pedal/sail power. Going with padlle -> pedal.
