While I am at it, here are a few picks of my 09 Outback. This is my favorite, just a great all round yak. It has a Cuda 168 sounder with in hull transducer, 2 ram mounts and holders, anchor trolley, fish bin in the front hatch and my rocket launcher. It has standard rudder and mirage.

Mitch, deep down you still like Outbacks, tell the truth, especially this yellow one with mojo.

I like the fish bin idea. Might look at doing something similar soon. Thanks for the inspiration

Maccayak I think that the outback is great aswell, but I would recommend the larger rudder it makes the steering so much more responsive

Re: Maccayaks Outback "The Favorite"
I must admit, I really do like Outbacks. They're a great general purpose yak that has room to spare. I just gunna have to buy myself one. I think I'll go for the 'moss' colour.
I suppose you have to take everything off it, Maccayak, to load it onto your roof. I doesn't look as though it would take all that long. The rocket launcher probably just pulls out, as would the rod holders.
I want to buy a special small boat trailer for mine, when I get it, as I think it would be too heavy to load and unload from my roof racks by myself.
Thanks for sharing the fruits of your labour with us.

There's only a fine distinction between fly fishing and standing on the bank looking like an idiot.

Re: Maccayaks Outback "The Favorite"
Great work Maccayak,
also let me compliment you on your colour choice.
Love to know what you used for your fish bin. Saw a post a while back using a large plastic container. The twenty litre ones for water
storage sold at disposal stores.
Do you think I can find it again!!!!!
Do you have any trouble managing that front hatch, hate to leave it open....just in case.
Currently going through the pains of where to place a fish finder. Do you find that yours clashes with the rod holder next to it?
I have had my outback for about 6months and would have to agree with Glassman regarding the larger rudder. The standard one
is great and responsive on calm water, but give it a bit of chop and it just doesn't respone ( probably hanging out of the water!)
definately on the list.
Thanks
Tony
