Re: VHF Radios
I thought i read that they were dropping the "formal" licence thing and now its a no cost online etiquete licence, so i checked and it is a course which is from 8.15am -15.00pm, price $140.
Time to get out the knitting needles.

Splash proof is a total waste of time. not sure why they make them.wembas wrote:thanks for your work on getting this sorted eddie - i found some info on the Uniden Atlantas 260 - its $142 and is splashproof - might be an option if the other one doesnt work out....

Re: VHF Radios
Agree Dognut, splash proof is not worth looking at. As far as I am concerned, if it's not IPX-7 waterproof rated or better then I am not interested (specially on the kayaks).

Re: VHF Radios
the Icom IC-M34 is $169.99 US dollars from Cabelas.
Wonder if they would do a bulk deal on postage.

Re: VHF Radios
Ok, chsmith have them in stock $149.50 and will deliver for free to one address, we have approximately 7 genuine buyers, who else wants one.
I am happy for them to come to me and then have a group get together where they can be given out or you can pick them up from my home, if you want to pay for postage then I can do that as well.
If you want one, SEND ME A PM.
