Espri or Kingie

Post by jaydeo »

just a tad curious guys, being only 15 im in the market for a new kayak, i was originally thinking the hobie sport but im a long way from that at the moment.
my current options are the
Viking Espri
WaveDance Kingfisher.

what are the pros and cons of both the yaks?
cheers in advance

Mate, don't think you could go wrong with either. I can't really talk much about the kingy other than the positive reports from others but the espri is a good stable yak and very versatile. It's about half a metre shorter than the kingfisher from memory and a smaller payload. Most people who have had an espri don't get rid of them when they upgrade or regret it if they do. I still use mine for certain types of trips and for visitors. Happy to take specific questions, especially on rigging them for fishing.
