Joy Flights from Tyabb

Post by maverick »

If any one is keen, I am happy to take anyone for a joy flight. If we take the high wing cessna, it is a bit slower but a better view for everyone, works out at $45/hour/person and I can take 3 plus me. The Sierra is a bit faster, is low wing and more expensive, works out at $60/hour/person. So if you are keen to head up with a few others and just have a look around or visit your local "secret spot" and take some photos - post up.

Flying is weather & weight critical.
Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

So... your saying I have to pay for 3 seats then....? :?

I am keen, as long as we do loop to loops.... :D

Small planes are built for small people, one advantage of me being short(er). Less weight means more fuel, always a good thing in a plane.

Doing loops, not in what I fly - the wings will fall off - for those less than technically minded that is a really bad thing.

But it will still be fun.

take off at Tyabb, around the bay, missing Geelong (controlled air space at avalon) a bit over an hour, if we can do a city orbit (1,500 feet) which is really good value, add 10-15 mins. OR else we can go where ever the group decides. The Prom and back is about 2 hours, did that trip recently and came back up the coast (shhhhh don't tell anyone) but it was below cliff height.

3- 4 hours max flying time depending on weight, around the bay takes about an hour, maybe a little bit more.

0' feet when I am taking off and landing
otherwise the legal minimum is 500 feet over open area (bay, bush and rural) and 1,000 over built up area (houses)
Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.
