Of cause that would also need to cover surf boards Stand up paddle boards. And push bikes. Or should we have walking licences to cross the road.

I think it would be a hard call to licence human powered craft of any kind. Including a pair of shoes

Now l have both PLB and EPIRB im quite happy to carry both but when they are up for renewal if the law changes l will re assess my situation. Although l see having the EPIRB on a kayak is not really ideal it's still another safety device that could save your life

The regulations are being reviewed in 2022, MSV are happy to review PLB's v's EPIRB's on yaks. Just need to sort a suitable way to attach them to a PFD (I am working on this). Also working on a plan with MSV about a PLB offer, but no date or promises just yet.
