Shore based cray dive

Post by maverick »

Not a yak dive, but a shore based cray dive for any that may be interested. 8am Diamond Bay. Bring a torch.
Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

Assume 8:00am Saturday 7th.
I think I may have to be taxi service for the family on Saturday.
Can't commit but I will try to get to Diamond bay.

I'll be away for work Pete, otherwise would likely be up for this. Next time.

I don't have to be a taxi service for the family.
Have torch, have new full tank, will travel.
Hopefully the weather & swell will play.
See you at Diamond Bay 8:00am Saturday.

No video unless someone else takes one. Swell is forecast at 0.60 m, so should be nice. I normally snorkel out the first 200 m.

I don't have a camera & I reckon we will be too busy sticking our heads under ledges and watching out for each other to be able to take videos.
Last time I went there (many years ago) I snorkelled out a fair way & to the left before I submerged on SCUBA.
Checking gear & packing the car now. Will see you there tomorrow morning.

Packed and ready, correct about videos and cameras - too busy with eyes like this

About a 200 m swim before I scuba.
Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

Don't hold your breathe for a dinner update, saw a couple of crays but kept none. Reasonably dive though, although made me remember why I like boat diving so much more.
