Yarrawonga trip

Post by peatop »

As you may know I traveled to Wodonga last week to look and buy another Kayak, and go on a fishing/camping trip, well I caught a few Murray cod and trout cod, with the 74cm being the biggest, anyway on Sunday it was forecast for 39c with the possibility of a storm :wtf: a storm they said  Yarrawonga had a mini tornado and semi minor flooding while 3km out of town at the campsite we had bloody high winds and buckets of water dropping from the sky :wtf: most of the campers had awnings on their vans and gazebo's in the morning but after the storm they seemed to be a crumpled mess added to the landscape :o

The water flowed under my camper tent which made the floor feel somewhat like a waterbed ;)

Then continued down to the river.

This is just one of the awnings, I wanted to take photo's of the aftermath but it was still raining quite heavily

In the left of this photo you can see a major limb that has been cut as it fell on a car and the caravan that is under the green tarp

Just a couple of photo's from my paddle down the river testing my fitness and the new yak ;) I came home the day before yesterday and had a great time and would have stayed longer but had to get ready for the Portland trip lol
