Flathead Tip.

Post by Digger »

Most of you probably already know this but for those that don’t it may be useful.

If you’ve ever been jagged by the spikes on the gills of a Flathead you will recall how painful it is.

Simply wiping some of the slime on the fish’s back on the wound almost immediately removes all the pain.

My father taught me that when I was fishing for the first time when I was 8.

I use the slime on the belly. Same result, unless it is a really deep one.
