Final goodbye

Third day since my mum passed away. 95 years young. It has been a time of arranging and filling out so many forms etc. First day I have had time to reflect. Sat down earlier and wrote the eulogy and it brought me to tears. Tuesday I will be saying goodbye to her for the last time. It will only be immediate family at the service due to the current restrictions. Now I really need this Covid thing to be finished so I can go fishing and unwind. Thanks VYAK community for allowing me to vent, I feel a little less loaded.

Sorry for your loss Larry, a funeral for a family member is tough at the best of times, and I imagine the current circumstances only make it tougher. All the best for Tuesday, hopefully May 11 brings you some good news.

Mate so sorry to hear your news!

Its a tough thing to go through but the pain does reduce over time. You will of course never forget what she meant to you and it helps to remember all the good times Larry.

My thoughts are with you my friend. My mum passed in 2016 aged 94.

Thanks so much for the kind words and support. It helps a lot. Yes I know the pain and sadness will go away. But it will take time. I know many of you have already been down this road so you know how I feel. Hanging out for a fish now!

So sorry to hear of your mums passing Larry.
I am sure you would have done as much as you could for her in her elderly years.
Your mum must have had a good healthy life for her 95 years.
If you can keep a copy of the Eulogy reading and other parts of the service, photos etc that will help with the grieving process and the happy memories.
It will be a sad day on Tuesday, made harder with the COVID-19, but you will have good memories of your mum for ever.
My condolences to you & your family.
Jacko.
