ABT Livewells

Post by maccayak »

I was wondering if some of you ABTers could post up some pics and descriptions of your DIY livewells.

Cheers Geoff

Mines just a 30ltr esky with a hole and pipe in the bottom that slots into the rear well scupper and a bilge pump fitting near the top, drop pump over the side and cycle the water whenever I remember. When it's not draining/pumping I plug the tube with a small stopper. I'll get around to posting a few shots when i get a chance

I use a 45l beaten up esky I picked up at the dump. A $15.00 airator is taped to the side of it, holds 3 big bream all day no probs, use a small plastic bucket (old 1kg honey container) to change about a litre of water in and out of it every half an hour or so in order to keep the water clean and fresh. Will probably try something fancy one day but this works a treat for me at the moment...Total cost $15.00.

If anyone needs to borrow my home made job for Marlo let me know. I’m unable to make it due to other commitments. Someone may as well use it there! I’ll try and post some pics of it tomorrow. Does the job.

I can spare one for Marlo too if someone wants it.

I can't get on to AKFF from work but mine's on there. 30 ltr esky with same pump as the Hobie one. Picks up and discharges through scuppers and battery sits in the pocket on the back of the hobie seat at the moment.
