Re: Seagrass Outback
Thanks guys. Yea, same sea grass as the compass. I actually really like the color Mingle. Pretty visible on the water too. I've always had yellow or red yaks so this was a really nice change for me. I think it actually looks tons better in person.

Seagrass Outback
Got her rigged up a couple of weeks ago and I've only shared it on FB so a litlte late but here's my Seagrass Outback. Pretty basic and standard mods. Upgraded rudder, square hatch, transplanted my Elite5Ti with Totalscan from my Thresher, 2 Hobie rod holder extensions, and 2 Railblaza rodtubes. I a...

Re: Hobie Compass - initial observations VIDEO ADDED
Nice write up. Still may end up getting a compass next . I find it easier to stand with a square hatch in the outback, not sure if you've tried yet with the compass. Also the square hatch closes up so much nicer than the circular ones.

Re: New Overtaking Emergency Road Rule 1 July
I'm originally from the states and after moving to Australia I actually still do what was normal in the state I lived in (Wisconsin), which was to either slow down or change lanes. I don't think the speed reduction was as drastic and I can't recall if there was a set speed limit to slow down to, but...

Re: Testing Bowmount Motor.
You get the hang of a trolling motor pretty quick. I've always had ones with footpedals back in the states, but my first boat I bought here in Australia doesn't have any real casting deck (just a tinny) so I'm just using the hand remote which was a bit different. Running a 24v 80lb motorguide xi5 on...

I was going to edit and mention the 64 bit but didn't get around to it. I'm easily distracted

Re: Ransomware Alert Crap Cleaner users
Thanks. I run MB pretty frequently at home but hadn't run into this as I'm on the road. Good thing I haven't used CCleaner in months, good to know though.

Re: New hobie kayak (compass)
No worries Michael. Looks like they will be landing in limited supply around Oct / Nov. Going by word from factory I think demand is going to outweigh supply in the first few months, so keep an eye on our site and FB page for updates on ETAs, etc. Thanks Josh. I'll be in the Mornington area for mos...

Re: New hobie kayak (compass)
I guess they needed an entry level model to see off the el cheapo Kings Craft and Peddlefish things Bingo ;-) I saw this earlier on Facebook and there is plenty of Q&A in the thread that gives more info as well. It looks like a good niche filler but would probably make the PA12 redundant imo. I...

Re: Anybody with a red dorado II?
Thanks. Saw the red dorado person twice, but never really got a chance to chat or say hello. Earlier today saw someone with a PA with AKS stickers on it. Seems the fish weren't cooperating this morning.laneends wrote:Jordo has one of them but its yellow. Dont think anyone else on here has one.
