Christmas Eve cookup.
Well we had our traditional Christmas Eve cookup yesterday. We had about 30 people here for a fish BBQ. My son went up to Dundee beach last month and came back with some tropical species. We cooked up fingermark bream from up north. Also from closer to home we had some bream from Bemm , flake, calam...

Re: Worden's maxi jig
That egg loop knot looks very interesting for other soft baits as well. I wonder how it would go anchoring live sandworms without piercing them with a hook, or with weed for luderick.

I haven't fished from my yak at all since covid. I guess you have read up on anchoring techniques required for faster currents, and ha...

Don't be late back or it will be a looong trip. Maybe arrange for another Westernport experienced yacker to accompany you on your first trip into Westernport. I am not an expert, but there are many others on here who know the bay far better than me. Maybe launch on an ebbing tide and retrieve as the...

Re: Relatively Green
There are several angling clubs around that I am sure would welcome you. Hobsons Bay Angling Club might be worth a look. I think they are near the Yarra mouth. You can google angling clubs. The club of which I am a member would welcome you, but I think Upwey is just a bit far for you.
