Gorgeous pup mate, i have two but no longer little lovelies like her, more like big slobbering stomachs on legs
Oh, the anchor setup is pretty cool too. Do you tie regular loops in the line or do it as required when you anchor?

The kids won after years of my stalling G. The thing is a shitting and chewing machine and might soon be critter bait.Bigyakka wrote:What's with the critter bait in the background mate?
I tie the loops as I need them Herbie and undo them when I retrieve the anchor.

Re: Anchor Answer for Tormentor (& others)
Thanks Rhino,
not sure I can bring myself to put a pre made well designed trolley on the wooden yak
and you lot wouldn't let me live it down
I have my anchor on a reel and find that the cooper anchor doesn't spin (in fact it glides beautifully through the water) I too use Mono rather than a cable tie.
I don't have chain so have to let out 3-4 times the depth to ensure a good grab, but I like the float idea if you have to ditch the anchor quickly.
Might have to look at the trolley kits - just to get some ideas about the pulleys you understand...

People laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at them because they're all the same.

Great Post Rhino.
I am just setting up my new Kingfisher and intend to install my anchor trolley the same way that you have.
I bought an extra clip when I bought my Hobie anchor trolley kit. I think it was about $5.00 extra.
Cheers,
Davo.

Re: Anchor Answer for Tormentor (& others)
Thanks heaps rhino just finished the install right now. 1 question i have is do u use the little button thinigy to tie the trolly 2 when at anchor or is the current/wind enough to hold it at the back /front same with the drft shute out the side does it hold itself at all?

Re: Anchor Answer for Tormentor (& others)
I have a little "button"that I pull the anchor trolley rope over to create some friction so it doesn't move backwards and forwards. Depending on wind/current it does move sometimes. I also have a quick release cam that I put the other end of the anchor rope into so I don't have to tie it off to my rail.
As far as the drift chute goes I just loop it around my rail and use the cam to hold it. I don't tend to use my anchor trolley with the chute.
