Hey Digger, I thought I was the only person who could relate the smell of a Harlequin Push-me, pull-me beetle to the taste and smell of coriander, it's great to hear that I am not alone.
Thankfully there is no asian delicacy that I am aware of that smells or tastes like "Shield bugs", which are even worse than Push-me Pull-me beetles.
You may ask why I have actually eaten them, well, I had an eccentric Aunt who had bad eye sight, and didn't mind a bit of protein in her cooking, I used to dread eating at her house, the spuds always had an earwig or two inside.

Bloody hilarious Robin,
I have to admit I never went so far as to eat them, even though the guts looked like a caramello bear!!
It must be a worry for you finding you have something in common with me ~
Never mind therapy might help???
