The Trailer is completed so thought i would throw up picts for the last time to show how it turned out

How about a coleman portable hot water service hooked up to one of those fresh water jerries for hot showers after a cold days fishing?

She's a beaut... Nice trailer.

Nice setup Jim, plenty of storage,great if you go camping etc, not to high for lifting the kayaks and you could also add some capped PVC tube under the kayaks for rod/paddle storage if you wanted by the looks. I definitely like the idea of water for wash downs and drinking as well.

Any reason you went for wire mesh rather than sheet metal/alloy, the reason I ask is; when I was into 4x4's it was noted that mesh on roof racks created more drag and increased fuel consumption by quite a bit and thought sheet may have been a better option for the floor/sides.

Hi Eddie I went for for mesh so that when we wash them down if on trailer
all the crap sand and such would go straight through it would be easy enough
to fill in if needed.
Chillihilli the summer version comes with beach umbrellas each end for rigging

Thought that may have been the case and smart thinking, where sand accumulated on my 6x4 from washing the AI, although rusted before, it has magnified in that area. Be interesting to see how it compared fuel wise to a standard 6x4 with kayaks mounted the same etc.

Ramma The Bars have a 10mm thick strip of firm rubber glued to them with marine carpet on top which to Yaks rest on .Cheers Jim

Hi Yakatack The trailer is 4.5 long by 1.7 wide from guard to guard
the draw bar is 2 metres long and trailer bed is 2.5 weighs 260kg cheers Jimbo
