hold yak and condom

i just had a brain wave. if you carryed a condom in the yak and you developed a hole. you could put half the condom in the hole and blow it up. this would cause it to bulg on both sides of the hole and would inflate to the same shape as the hole and seal the leak. i recon it would work they are fairly strong

So I get home from fishing and my wife of 25 years finds a condom in my wallet, "I use it for pluging leaks in the yak, honestly "

I dont think it would work. The pressure on the condom would be equal to your weight and the weight of all your gear i think. would be an interesting experiment though.

Problem I see is wheather the condom is used for its original purpose, or to pug a hole in a yak, if it gets a hole youre stuffed either way
