I'll try and get there....depends on the fortnight whether I'm free or not....... noticed a lot of AIs ...need to stir up the DIYers so we can compare and exchange ideas /mods ..... no way I can even get close to an AI with my rig
Anywheres good - Rickets best. You AI guys should be able to just sail to any location!

No no date set, I just wanted to plant a seed, see if it would grow? The Fishin' Musician wrote:Did we have a date in mind or did I just not see it?
Might contact the weather bureau and look for a weekend with 40 to 50 knots and off shore weather warnings
Then leave that one alone for 15 to 25 knots instead
Don't know if it will help, but if we plan a date not too soon, then maybe people can plan it better in their busy calendars?
That's not me by the way

I've picked Altona too, only because its closest. But am willing to travel. Really want to see how all the DIY have come along.

WoW, if everyone who voted (11 so far), actually makes it, just may have to register a regatta, not
Looks as though it's out of Altona / Rickets being the most popular so far and guess it is worth talking about some times, is July or August to far away, or can we make some dates work in that period?
Thoughts sailors?
Bump!!!!

Did this ever happen?
Saturday looks awesome. I missed the poll but Altona or ricketts suits me. Be good to get in before the silly season.

I hope you can get something going, it all went dead after the last post and no replies. Pretty much everyone wanted Altona so as good as anywhere, not sure if I can make it myself but will give it a go.

Dunno about howling winds... under 20kts I could be a starter. If the conditions are civil I might even bring the fishing gear and do some trolling. Morning looks best at the moment, the afternoon could be unstable. Does anyone have a time in mind?Dognut wrote:Saturday, altona it is. Last time i was at altona in a nw 25-30 it was fantastic.
