Maybe a slingshot with a few old gumnuts would get more attention? :D
First one ping over head, then go straight for the Gelcoat!
Handy for a bit of long range burly deployment.

Alright Mav got a "cunning" plan for you.

You launch your boat and come flying past me and I will be in the yak blowing the horn. See if you can hear it, its worth having one if not I will throw it at you.

Video please.

Mav, don't assume the strange noise is a shark bitten, dying seal and swerve to put it out of its misery.
Mitch, don't wear a wetsuit.

Oh yeah and mav test in real world conditions.

G'day,
This this cunning test ever eventuate? Results?
BTW, how much do these horns cost?
Been thinking about either getting a horn or a whistle.
The horn would probably be dumped in my centre hatch and may take a bit of fumbling around to retrieve during an emergency. A pealess whistle attached to my PFD may be the easier, and safer, option as it'd always be attached to me if I got swept into the brine. Saw one of the FOX40 models, with lanyard, for about $12 that works wet or dry and it also puts out 120 dbs like the horn does. So I'll probably go with the whistle but may also buy one of those horns for when the neighbours (and their dogs) are giving me the shits.
Cheers.
