So by my calculations, so far it is about (VYAK) 20 pedal yaks and 2 paddle yaks. Ok, so what about a bit of VYAK sub-challenge. (sheeez I am a glutton for punishment).

If we take the offical weigh in lengths of the fish caught for the Pedal yaks Vs the Paddle yaks and divide the total length by the number of yaks competing on each team, we should get an average length caught/ yak species. The longest length wins. So even though we are vastly outnumbered, we can still win if we both catch good fish and not all the pedallers catch fish.

ie:

If 20 pedal yaks catch 30 fish and the average size is 40 cm. Then 30 x 40/ 20 = 60cm of Bream caught/yak.

If 2 paddle yaks catch 4 fish and the average size is 40 cm, then 4 x 40/2 = 80cm of Bream caught/yak and the Paddlers win

Or

If 25 pedal yaks catch 50 fish and the average size is 40cm, then 50 x 40/25 = 80cm of Bream caught/yak

if 2 paddle yaks catch 2 fish and the average size is 40cm, then 2 x 40/2 = 40cm of Bream caught/yak and the Pedallers win.

No entry fee (unless the pedallers are up to it) and no prizes, just bragging rights.
Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

Good idea If you do it go on weight not length as length isn't calculated at the weigh in
