Safety vid - US Coast Guard

Postby Wizaed1 » 05 May 2019, 13:02

Relied on WillyWeather's predicted wind strength yesterday and decided not to go out this morning. Instead was on youtube and came across a safety video made by the US Coast Guard.

Most of the decisions the kayakers made seem too silly but I guess we can all make poor decisions from time to time.

(Apologies if it has previously been posted. I did search and couldn't find it)

I hadn't seen this before and it does bring up a good point, about it's often multiple bad decisions that can get you into trouble, but it can also be only the one first decision that makes the rest worse, at least the both are ok and wiser for their experience.

The camera boat would have picked them up if they were in real trouble ;)

Yah it pays to have a camera boat for when situations like that arise
