Crap weather day

We do surf days and re entry practice and so on, would anyone be interested in having a session in some shithouse weather to get an idea of what paddling into PPB slop is like, of handling a yak with a following sea? Seems like the sort of thing that could be beneficial to experience first in the relative safety of a group rather than getting caught out in it for the first time when s change arrives sooner than expected or something.

Yes I would be keen on this. Probably only go out with bare kayak - i.e not fishing rods though, in case I turtle and trash stuff :|

2 threads almost same thing, hmm I've done re-entries, but not roll overs and only in good conditions, a ruff weather one might be good practice, so im in but will depend on where and when ;)

I've been doing this a bit more lately, partly by accident i must say. Though doing it by design with no gear to loose would be more encouraging.

Kayaks do handle substantially different loaded vs unloaded though, especially in following seas.
