Hey my fellow victorians, I recently got a new kayak for christmas in hopes of fishing off it, and i'm not quit sure where to start, i was thinking somewhere around ppb or western port or maybe venus bay, if you guys could point me in the right direction would be great, thinking of targetting something like flathead or kgw and maybe some squid. Thanks for any help you guys can give me :D

First place is here http://www.vyak.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=8

and second place is some water with your Togs and a life jacket to practice re entries

weathers nice for swimming so is a great time to do this bit of practice

once you have to down pat then think about fishing

I've been kayaking before and done this stuff in an older kayak, my new one has rod holders etc so I was thinking about that...

Hi mate,
My first time yakking this morning and first post on the forums. Went out to Mt Martha and fished the many weed beds, came back with 6 squid and a pinkie. I think it was a good place to start out (easy access, lots of reef etc.)

No problem, sorry couldn't help out with finding KGW but I'm sure you'll find fatties around Mt Martha.
Let me know how you go!
