I'm nearly back to 70% mobility so I'm getting itchy feet to get back on the water.
However I have found it nearly impossible sometimes to access the Mirage drive release locks.
After a few hours seated and not standing and stretching, it is a real pain (yep, literally) trying to reach forward and click them off.
Nearly capsized a couple of times with lumpy following waves and frozen back.
Well, I have fixed that problem I hope.
I just removed the top screw on each side of the rubber 'knob' and replaced them with a pan head one about 19mm long.
Added a spacer and a nice washer and looped a bit of cord around each of the two screws.
A bit of heat shrink or plastic tubing over the cord helps stop fish hooks getting caught up.
And BAZINGA, one less impediment to deal with.
Enjoy

Yep seen that mod a few times on the hobie forum, an eyelet added to that hatch screw with the cable fed through would keep it flat on the deck and reduce accidental catching, as you dont want accidental releasing. Would certainly make it easier when beaching in rough water

Nice idea.
Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

Not completely my idea, just a simpler mod.
Just hope it works whilst on the water, not just in the garage.
