I think these would make a great all round white light and are waterproof to 50m. ...... just add pole/stick, whatever.

Thx for putting that up Jenko.
Ive made a couple of DYI pole lights with wrap around LED strip but i think these ones will be very effective so ive ordered a 200mm one with some extra lead.
See how it goes.

Simple solution. Thanks for posting.

I'm still amazed at how many yakkers are getting around Ricketts in the early hours with little or no lighting.

Cheers

Hopefully my Railblaza visibility kit is visible enough.

I tried to make one of the DIY LED strip lights but my construction skills weren't up to the task and it never worked reliably

Has anyone who bought one of these lights tried it yet .... whats it like  or
I'm thinking of a different use for it if its bright enough and throws a good light.....(camping light)

I'm thinking that even the smallest model would be very handy to have onboard as a backup in case the existing lighting fails, or in the event a capsize.

I bought one, arrived a couple of days ago but still haven't powered it up or mounted it yet.
Appears to be well made and well protected.
Led strips are wrapped around a stick which is wired up and potted inside a clear tube.
I intend to mount it to the top of my flag pole which is 2m high 20mm dia orange elec conduit.
Probably won't get time to fit it till after Xmas but will post a report then.

Received mine today after the first one was lost between brightlights and langwarrin, here it is just sitting on the bin outside connected to the blue battery pack. Over all looks good to me in my opinion if some body does not see this at night they must be blind. Colour is cool white.
