I love paddling, but for fishing I have to hand it to the mirage drive, you can do so much more especially if you are a lureman.

You will not regret your decision there.
There is lots you will be able to do with it once you gain more experience.
However, they work better on the water than on the grass!
(still got the vantage seat tag dangling.....)

Very nice Alex got the stealth color there, got to agree with Keith, would love to paddle, but so much more fish-able with the pedal, you'll see when you get the big one and have to chase it

As already stated the ability to get after a fish early is a real benefit. Drifting along tossing lures is easier when you sort out subtle applications of thrust whilst cast and retrieve is going.

I am sure the Yak Gods will understand and forgive you your transgression, not glass and not paddle

I am toying with the idea of replacing the kingfisher with something glass but that is a long way off. For now I am really happy with the kingfisher and outback combo I've got now.

Congratulations on the new yak Alex. I'd stick with the kingy over glass for rivers and estuaries that are rocky and/or snaggy - areas where you don't want to risk a mirage drive and glass is likely to get scratched up.
