I know of a few blokes that use them up north, not sure if they are legal in Vic.Smish wrote: I wonder if spear gaffs are legal here? Looks like a good way to subdue a big fish before bringing it in close.

Re: Pacific Warriors
I'm not aware of anything preventing a Kage Gaff being legal here. Hand held spears are legal if they have no barbs and no more than two prongs so a Kage should be OK.

The spear fisher is on an Ocean Kayak scupper pro, not the fastest yak on the water, but an awesome all rounder and they are very highly regarded.hammertym wrote:Just watching how they fish..... one dude no pfd, none of them have flags and the free diver looks like she's on an ebay yak.

Re: Pacific Warriors
Did anyone else notice in the promo video that they stole some footage from Jeff Sheppeards video of him catching a marlin off NSW? It's around the 45 second mark.
Anyway it's on Foxtel on Fox Sports2 from 3-4.30pm tomorrow, then Thursday the 29th from 10.30am-12pm. I'm looking forward to it but our IQ box isn't recording at the moment so I may miss the first one unless parts arrive in time.

The Pacific Warriors on Fox Sports2 is actually a Rugby World Cup documentary.shane wrote:Did anyone else notice in the promo video that they stole some footage from Jeff Sheppeards video of him catching a marlin off NSW? It's around the 45 second mark.
