So last Friday I picked up my new kayak, a 2015 Adventure Island.
I've only taken it out twice so far, but I bloody love it, especially when the wind kicked up like it did today
I haven't started fitting it our yet, I have some ram mounts on order, but managed to land my first fish on it today, a tiny Pike (not the best start)
For anyone else who has an AI, how have you decked yours out?
Cheers, Kieran

Congrats Kieran, schmick rig
We will have to catch up for a fish. Hopefully I'll make it down to the LL session.

Very nice indeed Kieran, still tossing up whether to stick with my current one and all the upgrades/mods done or make the jump to a new one.
Re: New Hobie AI
I have the old model ,started with a trampoline as it opens up a whole new play ground where to mount things .

Josh really set that yak up well, I've also had a look at his latest in store, some good ideas there too.yakhangger wrote:Have a look on you tube mate.....look for SLH and see what Josh has done to his...some great ideas there that I am changing on mine
Thanks Eoin, I've been loving sailing around so far, I'll have to go for a fish over your way some time soon.FishnDive wrote:Congrats Kieran, schmick rig

That's the plan, get out a lot further and go after a few bigger species.choppers wrote:Nice yacht there mate Should be able to cover some ground pretty easy
Having not tried the older model I can't compare, but the new model's bet feature would have to be the seat, in my old yak 4 hours would have been really uncomfortable, in this its not even an issue.ratfish wrote:Very nice indeed Kieran, still tossing up whether to stick with my current one and all the upgrades/mods done or make the jump to a new one.
