Has anyone sailed out of the kannanook creek entrance to Port Phillip Bay in an AI before?

Just wondering if the sail fits under the two bridges

I'm not sure how tall the AI mast is but the bridge is pretty low especially at high tide. Not sure how hard it would be but you could launch from the ramp with the mast down, peddle out of the river mouth then put the mast up in the shallows. The water is very shallow on either side of the river mouth.

I can remember launching a boat from there years ago and when cleaning up afterwards finding that I had a high tide of sh!t mark right around, that was very hard to remove!!

If a handrail is about 1m up, I'd say when this photo was taken you had less than 2m clearance.

Unless you are talking about a different bridge?

The other newer one nearthew yacht club is reasonable and I would say ok for th mast.
Personally it's a better launch at Oliver's hill boat ramp just up the road.
You won't have to worry about the sand bar out the front and the reef is right there to the left.

It might just fit under, it'd be very tight though. Olivers hill like Widsa said would be the easiest and only 500m south

ai mast is 5 metres mate....pedal power is your freind

Go under with the mast strapped to the aka's - it's almost easy to mount the mast to the AI on the water.
