I just jumped the shark

Post by Yakass »

Just uploaded my latest video, titled 'Marlin are Mongrels'. I have used most of this footage in previous videos, but not edited together like this. Unlike the others, this is the marlin, the whole marlin and nothing but the marlin. I'm showing more in this clip than in the earlier ones and there's some footage no before seen as well. Also includes some play by play narration from Rhett Thorne, which turned out pretty cool. Some extra footage provided by Paul O'Leary & Holger Goehr and Carl Holland as well.
Several sources of inspiration for creating this. One of them being the new editor that I'm using, which has some new features I was able to take advantage of to make the footage a bit more dramatic. I was also really keen to put the Fury Road soundtrack to use, which I absolutely love. I've made this for my son to watch, working with a theme of accomplishment.
The final result is pretty dramatic for a fishing video, even by my standards. I kind of jumped the shark a little, but it was fun to do it. You'll either love it or hate it. Let me know

Nice work - the only thing that would beat taking on a marlin on a kayak would be to swim offshore with a rod between your teeth and a livey in your back pocket.

Best advert for hobie by far... you can take credit for a lot of AIs sold around the world.

Another great vid. The narration is really good and helps the clueless like myself understand what your up to. Your young bloke will have plenty of material to sift through that's for sure.
