Re: What to add
A pair of sidecutters for that inevitable stuck hook...
Live long, fish hard and hopefully catch something.

Re: What to add
Go fishing, and then buy stuff as you need it for your type of fishing.

Re: What to add
I'd highly recommend getting some bungee leashes with a clip on either end. You can get them on ebay pretty cheap. I always leash down my rods and gear in case of capsize. Saw a guy last snapper season lose all his rods/reels from a rough night on the water. Expensive outing :/
PB's: Snapper 62cm, Flathead 55cm, Gummy Shark 100cm, Pike 98cm, Brown Trout 53cm

Good idea. Pretty sure the Yak I bought had a heap on it but will certainly make sure I add them where needed.fishndesign wrote:I'd highly recommend getting some bungee leashes with a clip on either end. Re: What to add
Much debated issue, be prepared to loose unleashed items, but then again not only is it a nuisance tangling leashes but they can be a danger in a capsize. So a web cutter on your PFD is worthwhile and minimize what you leash. Some people dont leash anything as a choice. Rod holders that lock rods in place are a safety featureMattRC wrote:Good idea. A reminder following the recent tragedy at Altona is a PLB attached to your PFD. You become pretty invisible in a yak if you get into trouble

Re: What to add
Be aware that a PLB is not an EPIRB and I don't think that it legally replaces an EPIRB if more than 2 nautical miles offshore. (Open ocean not bays and estuaries).

I would suggest some fancy aussie themed artwork
Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.
