my yak the por explorer has ok storage but not always accesable. As you can see in the pics the hatch infront of the pilot is good but bloody hell you need to be a contorsionist{?} to get at it , it is too close to be easy to use, right under your left nakker . So what i have done is to replace the hatch with an aluminium drop in compartment .It needed to fit into the hatch seal so as to seal the yak from water getting in. I can now fit a couple of tackle boxes and my anchor set up in there and easy to get to.It looks hugh but is really about 340mmx220mmx150mm.

Awesome job 4x4 8-) super neat
Wouldn't mind a similar drop-in for the Hobie hatch!
I'd rather a solid "bucket" rather than Hobie's softie...
