Lol Timmy long lost post!!
Got stainless snapper rack rod holders made by cheater (as seen at my birthday bash). Have fitted a lowrance elite 4 chirp. Plus some 120mm upright tubing for storing gummies as well as extra poly for rods and some 120mm is great storage for anchor.
And I love it apart from the wet factor (footwell plugs went great on smooth days until I lost one :( )
Travelles along around 6.5 kph with no effort and tracks great due to rudder.
Next purchase will be a fish bag for the front!

Now that's an interesting idea. How long are they and how have you mounted them, like a rocket launcher maybe? Would you have a pic you could post? Any dramas with that kind of setup?

Cheers!

Sorry I don't yet have the capabilities to show pics.

The tube is around 900mm long, cabletied with xl ties to the milk crate on the outside at the back.
Only problem is it can be hard to reach round to put gummy in however I always manage.

Smaller 300 mm section cable tied to the inside of the crate stores my anchor in easy reach and keeps mud off things :)
Crate stores a battery for night trips to run light pole and also has a knife scabbard cable tied on the inside to store knives and pliers.

Tackle box and leader fits on the flat section between my legs where sounder is mounted

Cut out pool noodles to plug scupper hole, as long as you have at least one regular plug you can pull when necessary.

Thanks Chops, gummy tubes sounds like a great idea. I wonder if topping up with an ice & saltwater slurry would be practical.......

Timmy- have to organise a trip down again mate

Keith- I'll be shot if I steal the kids noodles, have to buy my own cheers for the tip

Windwaker- just measured it actually is 150mm diameter. Fits two gummys down it nicely

Justo- iv used soft drink bottles frozen, one down bottom and one on top of gummies works well. Don't have a cap on the bottom so a slurry wouldn't stay in there, but its something i might try this summer.

Awesome. Didn't think of a larger tube and jamming two in it. Cheers!
