Herald Sun headline of the year

Post by twavvy »

Pie fans in GF rush

************************
Rank-and-file Collingwood members face a one-in-seven lucky dip for Grand Final tickets if the Magpies reach the decider......
************************

It goes on to say how over 400 members have upgraded to a "Legend's" membership package, costing $795 plus the right to purchase a GF ticket.

I have three problems with that:

1) They do have a rich vein of form going. However, finals are not won in July and Geelong, St Kilda and even to an extent Bulldogs have proven far more competitive in September action.
2) Collingwood calling a membership package "Legends". Collingwood - Legends? I don't think so.
3) The upgrade to the package would be about $500 and then the cost of a GF ticket. Is that why there has been a spate of robberies lately at 7/11's by people without teeth wearing gold jackets?

As a St Kilda supporter I would be more than happy to have us play the Pies in a prelim than have to face Geelong or Bulldogs. Bring it on! ;)

Lucky me and the other 56,599 members didn't decide to DOWNGRADE to Legend's status.. we all know that 99% of Pies members are Super Legends. Then there are the select few Pies members who are part of VYAK and they are obviuously Feckin Legendary. The ultimate however is the King of Legends and that is our good WACA mate Blighty who is not only a VYAKer but a registered player for the mighty Carringbush. Not too late mate, do as Lukey Ball did and come to your senses.... get off the rapists and albino freaks and get where the hard balls are got... among the toothless, 7-11 robbing, drive-by shooting Maggies faithful. You won't look back.. trust me, it slows you down too much when you are running from the plod!

You are right on one thing thoughmate - flags don't get handed out in August; either Doggies, Cats, Saints or Pies could take it out on the day if they hit their straps. Should be a great series - at least it's not just a 2 horse race this year.

GO PIES!

GO PIES!
Yeah a top 4 with any that could win it is good, however the only thing better than that is that they are all Victorian teams!!! :D

Saints missed their window of opportunity. Their best chance was last year. Shame they didn't win  .

Saints missed their opportunity when they wasted a massive amount in their salary cap on Lovett!

If Geelong actually plays as they can anybody else showing up to the ground will be pointless. Still the best team that can take the field in the comp, just not playing at their best at the moment.
I'm trying to ride the Dee's into the top eight. That's my real interest.
