New and looking to buy a used kingy or ranger

Post by juzzaf76 »

Gday folks, My name's Justin. I'm brand new to both yaks and the forum. After a bit of research I'm looking to purchase something along the lines of a second hand Wavedance kingy or an aquayak ranger already kitted out. Im a bigger bloke and want the stability a craft like these will give me. I'm happy to take suggestions on other options, but at the moment my research tells me that bang for my buck (600-800) budget that these would be great choices as something already kitted out and I've heard that they often come up when people are upgrading and should fall within my range. So if you're looking to sell or maybe know someone who is, let me know!

Thanks in advance and hopefully see a few of you out on port Phillip or Westernport in the coming months.

Not impossible to pick up a prowler at the top end of that budget if you are lucky.

Get the best yak you can, extras are good but they can come eventually, but once you have something you are happy with you are on your way

I've found a beauty of a Ranger. Well within my range and only six months old! Fingers crossed its still there in a week. I'll post some picks if I'm lucky enough to snap her up!

Hi Justin,
RayS on here has a kingie in the classifieds. Not sure if it is sold, but doesn't look so. Send him a pm or give a call to find out.

Cheers

I did see that. For the moment I have my fingers crossed on this ranger, as it leaves me a little more wiggle room to buy some goodies. Thankyou for the heads up though.
