l2andom's Revo13+AI-Updated whenever new things come along!

Post by l2andom »

Hey all, finally got around to installing the GT90's onto my yellow beast. Pretty nice because now I can move the fishfinder around along with whatever attachments I need/want for the fishing session. Here are some pics, the color on my phone came out kind of strange so apologies for that  .

Installed a Mighty Mount from YakAttack later in the day after I finished up the GT90s and it came out pretty well. It will primarily serve the purpose of holding up my Visicarbon flag.

Almost looks like you have a hills hoist mast/sail setup on there.

Nice setup.

Nice rig michael. What made you go for the revo 13 over other kayaks?
This would be my hobie of choice btw.

The only other hobie I've been in was a pro angler. The revo is much slimmer and lighter and it feels much faster (and probably is) on the water. The PA was just a bit too big but if you like bringing a lot of things this would be a plus. I'm trying to keep what I bring with me limited so having a revo helps as there's not as much space to put things. The revo also goes through water much easier from my experience. The PA felt like it was getting pushed slightly or there was a slight bit more hesitation whenever you went into a wave or a wave went into you, didn't feel this as much with the revo. Nothing against the PA because I may get one eventually, but the revo just felt right and seemed like the best choice at the moment for me. Your butt will get wet in a revo though, but a little padding or something under the seat may help against that, or just ride with a wet bum. As for stability, can't argue that the PA is a really solid base. But I think most hobies are quite stable. Once I got the feel for the 13, I felt quite good in it. I was in some decent waves and never once felt like I was going to tip in. Not sure if any of this helps and apologies for such a disorganized reply but I just typed it as I went.

All good. Cheers. Im used to having a wet bum from the mini x anyway. Im gonnna try some extra padding under the seat to try to fix this soon.
I think sooner or later I will join the hobie get-along-gang to extend the range of my trips but for now I think that the mini x will have to do.

Revo 13's are plenty stable. They also have plenty of room on board if you organize it well enough which I have found to be half the battle.

Nice looking boat Michael. I agonized about the gear tracks for MONTHS...Literally MONTHS before I just put a couple of RAM mounts on.

Damn...that Virginal Yum Yum yellow plastic looks good eh.

Not anywhere near enough Revo action on this forum. I'll be watching this thread mate.
