Congrats on the new PA, looks awesome.
When you get the new PA on the water let us know if there is any noticeable differences with it and your previous PA14.
Thanks mate.

It's going well Gozz. I'm a bit stiff after todays session though. I think I over-stretched getting to one rod as it buckled, and I felt a bit of a twinge in the back. An old war injury though.
I meant what I said previously. It's faster.
The rod holders are fine where they are. I wouldn't have them anywhere else.
If I could change anything with the set-up I'd have the sounder a bit closer to me, which would also move it a bit further away from the first rod. No big deal though.

My sounder is already in the same position as yours , i was just playing around with the rod holders and with the extensions on they sit nicely right behind the sounder facing straight out the side of the yak and the front two with out extensions are angled forward.
I reckon they will be pretty easy to get to and out of the way of each other.
I was even thinking of getting some rail mounts and sticking them on the grab rail so I don't have to reach if I'm trawling.
I've been thinking about your comment about going faster in the new PA and all I could come up with is that your fins are set differently to your old PA.
I was chatting to josh at SLH and he was saying that loose fins go faster then tight ones cause as far as I'm aware the hulls are identicle apart from the seat , sounder scupper and a few other cosmetic changes.
Thanks.

Maybe the wrapped kayak slides through the water a bit better? Your old one might have been a bit rougher with scrapes on the hull. (.............and weighed down by all those hidden fish scales!)

That's one real nice set up yak. Would be the envy of most yakkers
