Mate you did well there the KF paddles well has a great payload, plenty of storage and is stable the only con is that it is a wet ride but hey we are in a water sport rite.
I recon your daughter will have a ball in it I still rue the day I sold mine I should have kept it as a second yak.
Cheers

Just throw a toe rope from the Outback to the Kingy. If you have turbo fins you'll hardly notice the kingy being dragged along behind.maverick wrote:My thought exactly.....laneends wrote:and what will a caring father have to do to help his little princess who's arms are getting tired?maverick wrote:She will hate you. Re: new Kingfisher did i do ok?
Thank you all, I think it was a pretty good buy, I have heard the kingy's are a good yak.
A couple of practice sessions with her will do her the world of good. We have already been going over items in dry dock to get her head space right.
As said in the past she sits on the back of my hobie outback normally with rod thrown out. It has been wonderful having her fish with me. Plenty of bonding moments. But she is nudging 40 kgs, so time for her own. And yes the plan is to carry a light tow rope for safety precautions and a tow when required.
I got her a new graphite flick stick a few months ago and she managed a couple of trout at our local lake first time out with it. I must say she is better than most boys at that age then again she has been fishing since the age of 3.
Cheers Bigi

This is a good thing big I.... You have someone in the family who can teach you how to fish.bigi wrote: I got her a new graphite flick stick a few months ago and she managed a couple of trout at our local lake first time out with it. Good quality Yak
Good priced deal
Whether you sit in the outback or the Kingy (although you plan to always be with her), as long as she understands how to safely remount a capsized yak on her own and has the right safety gear.
Where can you go wrong
Well done and hope you both enjoy the freedom that comes with having your own kayaks, yet enjoy your time together.
