Eating Carp - Video

Happened to come across this video and it shows how to prepare a couple of small portions of a carp that are apparently edible and taste reasonable.

Might have to try it one day.

Thanks Mav, very interesting. Pretty similar to how I prepare Aussie Salmon by staying away from the bloodline flesh.

It looks like that Carp passed the acid test of the toddler going in for seconds, so I might give it a crack next time I catch one. As they say, don't knock it til you try it - and I'm yet to try it.

Didn't know they made belts, bags etc from carp! Lol.. Unfortunately poor old cheater will never get to sample this "delicacy" cos can't cant even catch one of the bloody things haha

Like how he uses a little pink rod for catching carp.. Carp I seem to catch would use that to scratch their arse.

No complaints from the tasters so it cant be that bad!!.

I have seen them 1km from the entrance at Gippsland lakes.
