Re: beads who uses what and when?
Whiting....bright colours. I have a couple of ting rigs set up with bright red beads above the hooks and the Missus recently busted a cheap bedaed necklace. She was going to throw the beads out so I grabbed them and now they live in the tackle box. Silver colour but I haven't tried them yet. Just hope they aren't toxic.
cheers Ray

Re: beads who uses what and when?
I use a lumo bead on my gummy rigs, not for appearance though. The gummy rig I use is as advised by the mud brothers, being mainline with an ezy rig sliding sinker clip on it, then mainline tied to a swivel, then a length of high poundage leader off the swivel and a circle hook on the end.
After a lost fish or two (with drag properly set) I formed the view that the ezy rig was damaging the mainline-swivel knot when it struck the knot during casting or retrieval, particularly if the ezy rig had sharp dags around it's end from the moulding process. Adding a lumo bead between the swivel and the ezy rig clip protects the knot from abrasion by the ezy rig - the lumo bead is soft and slides nicely over the knot, acting as a shock absorber as well.

I've heard from the mud boys that Gurkin likes to use beads with bacon lube.

I couldnt think of anything witty or funny to say and didnt really want to post my PB fish from the yak cause all I manage to get are toadies so I thought I'd take the time to fill in the blank space and say pretty much absolutely nothing and annoy every-one who has taken the time to read this.
