Looks good, but if I may suggest.....you can buy locking screw on lids for the rod tubes, I just made my own, won't stop a determined thief but may slow them down or deter them, also stops the lid from coming off (which they can if not screwed on tight)....... oh, and dickheads have a tendency to knock off the lids and throw them away.

Rear overhang limits for cars & trailers.....
Pig and Tag Trailers
For pig and tag trailers the rear overhang must not exceed the length of the load carrying area.
In other words, you can't have a yak hanging over the rear of the trailer.

Okay, I know everyone does it, but that's the law.

Isn't it rediculus that you can have 1.2m overhang at the front of a car but even with a trailer you can't have any. As Boz said, your not allowed any overhang on your trailer, but if you get pulled up, just play dumb.
Heres the pdf... http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rdonl ... n01833.pdf

change the rego to boat trailer maybe - over hang with a red flag is legal

it would also make life easier parking in car and boat trailer only park spots at ramps

just a thought

as far as i know it can over hand 1 meter and when kayak is straped in its under that, let them pull me up the trailer is safe and im not endangering any one if they fine me so be it. on the pic the yak is strapped in it sits forword alot more only sticks out 60cm they would have be be really having a bad day to dick me.
