Finally got the time after work to begin work on my new sounder.
Figured it'd be a quick set up of the Transducer and finish off tomorrow. That part was quick, It's the cleaning out of the bloody sand that took ages. Like eating rice with chopsticks, near torture.
I've cut away some positive buoyancy foam so I can still get my trolley in the front hatch without bashing the battery box I've made.
The Battery box is a plastic food container with a weather proof switch and fuse attached. Put some lines of silicon on the bottom of the box and inside where the battery is and you've got non stick padding when it dries. (I hope)
The transducer is mounted just behind my seat, straight under the rear hatch.
I'll post more tomorrow if I get time to finish the job

Got busy on the yak tonight and finished my sounder install. Here are some pics.
Does anyone know if the sealed lead acid batteries you get from J-car come pre-charged? Measured 13 volts, suggests to me it's already charged
