Hi All,
Just joined up after a prompt from Angryseal. Had my yak for about a mounth and I'm lovin it. I do all of my fishing at Safety Beach at the moment cos I don't have racks on the car yet and it's too easy to just walk the yak down to the beach on it's trolley. Iv'e had a bit of luck with a few salmon on my first trip, and since iv'e had a few flatties, one legal pinkie and zillions of 100 - 120mm babies (which I hope to re-catch in a few years) and one legal whiting. I'm hoping to improve on the whiting score soon. I often see guys fishing from yaks off Safety Beach and it would be good to meet some of them and maybe go fishin'.
Cheers
Phil

welcome aboard philyak, plenty of trips down to safety beach to join in on and once the racks are fitted plenty of other trips to get involved in.
Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

Welcome Phil!
You're a lucky man having a beach like Safety so close.
Looking forward to meeting you and getting out for a fish with you one day.

Hi Phil,
Welcome to the forum. Hope to see you on the water soon. I am a Safety Beach local myself. I think I have driven past you a couple times in Victoria St???. I normally fish down near the sailing club in a yellow hobie outback. Theres around 4 of us now in the area, also glassman/Jim and justhobie10/Justin.
Cheers Geoff

Hi and welcome Philyak, nice bit of water where you come from and doubt it will take long for you to start snatching them whiting. As Geoff said, there are a few very local yak fishers at Safety Beach so give them a CoooEEEE and meet up sometime, never know may bump into you myself.
When we say it's BIG RED SEASON, we don't mean a big red blood stain on the bay,
