Nice work Kelly
scooting along, good to see a vid of it.
Bit hard to do a Rhino at that speed too many ropes to pull
Well done

Re: New Sail for the Prowler
Looks absolutely brilliant Kelly. Any idea of how fast you were going and in what strength of breeze?
I'm looking forward to testing my sail rig out this week. Yes, I'm afraid I've been corrupted by that terrible Mordy fellow. He's brought out the closet yachty in me.
If I end up in the drink Mordy...I'll know who to blame

Re: New Sail for the Prowler
Well now I've done it........
Because I was so happy with how the sail went on the weekend,
I drilled some holes in the yak
I decided to fix the mast base to the deck of the kayak and add 2 deck saddles on either side for the side stays. So far so good. I have added a piece of pool noodle directly under the mast to reduce the amount of downward pressure flex. The pictures should tell the whole story.

Re: New Sail for the Prowler
Cool, holes drilled eh
Ill be using one of these to trim the sail
I found the jam "V" cleat to fiddly unless there is some sort of loop over it to hold the rope in place
