Well after having a look at kelly's sail and the plan it was made from i decided to make one that size too.
I extended to old surf rod with another old surf rob but slipped over and taped to pack out the tube and slipped over the bottom half.
The sail is 1500 up the mast and 1500 length of boom with the identical boom connection set-up on the mast and a yellow tongue batten

That looks top notch Pete. I had mine out this morning for its first wet run, worked better than expected more stable than I thought it would have been.

Re: New new sail for kingy
good stuff, the wind looked good today for it
had to do some gardening and my lovely wife is a bit ill so better to do some home stuff.
I did a dry run with it and it seems easier to handle being longer around the cockpit area, Thing i notice also is that with the batten being floating for want of a better word allows the sail to be less tight compared to the batten when its joined to the boom connector.

Extra nifty looking Peterj. I like the yellow tape. Are both lots of yellow tape reflective or just the lighter yellow tape?

The "yellow" tape is just gaffa tape.
The more green stuff is from and old fall arrester belt, its proper seat belt webbing.
