Found this Youtube vid on a DIY sail opener and closer for samller hobies.
Apparently the sails are hard to roll up while on your yak, especially in the wind.
This punter got caught in some wind (second link) and thought there must be a safer way
Costs about three dollars

Interesting if you are thinking about buy a sail hobie or not apprently the bigger kayaks in the "Fleet" have bearing devices.

This guy posts a lot of useful videos. Worth subscribing. Been thinking about a sail as well for a while but no time to experiment as yet.
