Post by Yuz »

I've emailed PA re just buying the sail sheet only, not even a reply. Came across this:

I think it should work well with my concept

looks great swivels, nylon is strong and on the expensive side , ABS is almost as tough and alot cheaper, its used for motor bike fairings tackleboxes that sort of gear and is easy to weld.

you need to swap the metal earth clamp for a plastic one, will work then ;) :)

Maybe draw something up and get some quotes from a sail maker? Or one of those companies that make covers for boats.
Sail maker would be good at least they would have the stock/ material on hand.
Seem like the above company is more intereted in selling sails rather than the whole package.
Good luck with it

I like the design / principle, the only fault I can see is when the sail is not in use or down.
Really needs the flexability of the hose inthe construction so you can pull it to the side and lash it away.
I'm stll a bit concerned that it will all get a bit crowded on deck. Currently playing around with a more spinnaker model
That I can roll up an store on the paddle holder on the side, maybe some of those sea kayaks have some better options.

Sorry Swivels just realised you put up the same link
Just saw it and thought..... (obviously no enough!!) :D
